I've been a bit stressed and frustrated at work for the past week or so, but luckily I've found a (temporary) solution. I've been partaking in a little bit of good, old-fashioned retail therapy. It all started with a "quick" trip to Macy's when I had to return something. Naturally, I walked out with two dresses. The next day I had to run an "errand" at the mall and ended up with two more dresses from H&M. Then I was enticed by 30-70% off sale signs at Laila Rowe and I just happened to float into the store and buy 2 pairs of earrings and a necklace. I LOVE their jewelry, btw. Fast forward to yesterday (payday!) when I told myself that I would just make a quick pit stop at Nordstrom to grab MAC's Natural Flare mineral eyeshadow quad and I walked out with that AND the much-talked-about Sweet Tease Look In A Box (Shell Pearl beauty powder, you're mine!!). Yep, I lucked out again and was able to buy an item TWO days before it was supposed to be on sale!! The makeup gods love me! Unfortunately, I didn't stop there. I also flitted over to Express and bought a pair of jeans (love 'em!) and a hot pink cufflink shirt I've been lemming for a while (no worries, I had a coupon!). *sigh* It was quite a successful therapy session, I tell you. Now if I can just get myself to stay away from Nordstrom's anniversary sale this Friday...PICS!
I finally found a pair of rose earrings that I love!

Sweet Tease Look In A Box (!!!)Quick Weekend Recap
Even though I was just in Va Beach last weekend, I somehow managed to make it down there again this past weekend. It was our 3-year anniversary this past Tuesday (the 14th) so last Fri-Sun was the closest we got to celebrate it. Believe it or not, we had more fun this past weekend than we did in Vegas! Ha! Go figure. When you're an old couple at heart, you don't need to go anywhere or spend tons of money to thoroughly enjoy each other's company. Here are some highlights:
- babysitting the bf's niece and nephew changing my 1st diaper!
- pool with the bebes--and scolding the bf for letting his niece fall in the water!!!
- trying out the new Tagalong Blizzard from DQ--delicious!!!
- dinner date at Freemason Abbey Restaurant--BEST she crab soup in Va Beach!!
- turning in early to watch Wall-E and fold laundry--we actually enjoyed this
- morning bike ride at First Landing State Park--fun, scenic, and a great workout!
- Jade Villa for some dim sum and walnut shrimp!!
- driving range to try out the bf's new set of clubs--I need to work on this

Wooow :) Great deal on the accessories. But eh? I don't think we have Laila Rowe in our Macys. :| Grrrrrr!
And I agree, with being a "could couple", it's not necessary for us to go somewhere special to enjoy each other company. :]]
Mmm @ DQ. I miss it! They closed down on Guam, but I remember them being soooooo good. lol
Oh man, I had some retail therapy this week too. It feels sooo good! Cute dresses! I just blogged about my mini dress shopping spree yesterday haha.
Looks like a great weekend! I'm excited about going to First Landing. I've turned into quite the workout nut & I'm loving it.
SHOPAHOLIC!!!! LOL... I so feel you girl... it's just too tempting that where i pay my bills is in the mall!!! LOL.... So of course i just haveeee to look!! LOL... But i love your hauls woman! You have great taste!
mszcheysser: Laila Rowe is actually a separate store. They sell really nice stuff--from scarves, to rain boots, to dresses, to handbags. But I mostly just go in there for their jewelry :)
Janelle: Yeah, I think I'm going a little overboard with the dresses...must. stop. Hope you enjoy First Landing! Watch out for the sand pits!!
Honey Bunny: Thanks! If I had to pay my bills at the mall, I'd be done for! O_o
